Its a gorgeous 82 degrees outside. So I took a walk around my property. Hapily sweating in the sun. The wild black berry bushes that grow along my driveway was full of berries. It is the first time in 14 years of living here that I actually got them to myself. Normally my neighbor gets to them first and sells them from the road. So I gobbled up the two handfulls I picked before anyone else could see them. My kids will find more tomarrow I'm sure. They were sweet and slightly bitter when not fully ripe.
Then I walked over to the wild flowers and picked some to put on my altar. Daisies, and thistles and something that looks like a mini daisy. I love giving flowers to the Goddess.
There is a nest above the path next to my garage. A mother robin. The other day my hubby said it looked like something had been after her eggs. He said momma bird was gone and one of the eggs was hanging out, but today she is back. I taught my kids to say "hello momma bird" when they walk by so as not to frighten her. She is back today, so I hope she still havs some eggs left. Yet she is still too skiddish to sit still long enough for me to take a picture.
