Heroes My aunt. She had the all-american dream. A husband with a good job, three kids, a house in the 'burbs, but that wasn't enough for her. So she went back to school and got her degree and became an ordained methodist minister. That still wasn't enough, so she came out of the closet and divorced her cheating husband. No that still wasn't enough, she's been a missionary in central america and now she is working on her PHD. Will that be enough...no. She never stopped dreaming and she never stopped doing.

The dance of 5 and 5

My meditations since I finished reading "By Oak, Ash and Thorn" by D.J. Conway have become so much richer than I ever expected. I've read other peoples reviews of Conway that weren't in the least flattering. I hate reviews anyways. I am the best judge of what I like to read, not someone else. And isn't the point to actually THINK about what you are reading?

Anyways. The other day I was meditating. I entered the spirit world like I have many other times before. My guide was waiting for me as usual. We walked through a forest. A place we had walked many times. We kept walking until the forest fell away and we were in a field of tall grass intermixed with wildflowers. In the center of the field was a bonfire and many people. There was music, but I don't remember where the music was coming from. I joined the group and stood in a circle with 4 other people. There were 5 groups of 5 people, each circle standing in a circle around the fire. Then each group began dancing. Each group of dancers imitating one of the elements. I was in the group of air and we waved our arms like the tall grass blowing in the breeze. Each element was represented. Air, fire, earth, water, and spirit. After we all fell to the ground, exhausted and rested together. It was as if I could rise above and see the group laying on the ground and it looks just like a celtic knot.

    Saturday

    Saturday, August 2, 2008, 11:11 AM [General]

Its raining. When I got up it was already wet, but looked like it would dry up and the sun might even say hello. But as the kids and I were sitting in the front lawn it started to sprinkle which quickly turned into a short downpour. At the moment it has stopped but we are indoors making lunch and it very well may start again.

I love saturdays. I don't need to get dressed, I have nothing to do and no one will care. I do need to go grocery shopping, but since the hubby has taken off with his buddy I will wait and see how the day unfolds.

The thunder grumbles like a tires old man in the distance, and the mac and cheese is done.

I must apologize for other peoples stupidity

    Thursday, July 31, 2008, 01:36 AM [General]

The photo I so proudly posted yesterday was discovered to be a forgery. The artist took many pictures and meshed them together using his computer to gain the astounding effect. If the jerk had just been honest about it I wouldn't be upset.

    I hate being lied to.

    Goodbye to a friend

    Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 12:11 AM [General]

Its not like I can actually call many people I chat with online a real friend. A real friend is someone you see in person, share things with, people who make you laugh and cry.

Today I'm crying. I noticed her missing as soon as I logged on. The images on my friends list are so familiar, I noticed right away that one was missing. The most outgoing, the most chatty, the most friendly. Of course there were times when her blogs made me wonder how she got away with some of those things, but she always made me smile and I completely enjoyed the short time I had to get to know her.

I can't just NOT make a blog about losing this special, funny friend.

Goodbye ChicoryFlower. You are truely missed.
